The Ambiguity of the Technology

No doubt that technology is the sector which will continue to outperform the market.

Short-term, its strength (bullish island reversal) is capped at the previous March high.

haDelta shows clear resistance and support levels.

You Can’t Stretch the Rubber Band Too Much

Again, the typical heikin-ashi setup on this monthly chart:

  • Price: the best scenario would be to finish the month at the historical high (less probable)
  • Heikin-ashi: still bullish and roaring (we also know that this chart is lagging at reversal points)
  • haDelta: self-explanatory and far from rosy

Conclusion? Let’s forget about AAPL for some time.

Top in Techs (QQQ)

April 14, 2012 Comments off

The most important time frame is the monthly chart with an obvious slowdown/top shown by the bearish crossing haDelta :: SMA(3).

The short-term view looks damaged, too since both haDelta and SMA(3) are in negative territory.

haDelta and Triquint (TQNT)

February 7, 2012 Comments off

As long as SMA(3) remains positive, TQNT continues its bull run.

We notice that haDelta reached its historical resistance, making room for a consolidation or pullback.

The negative (red) and positive (yellow) failures show again that these signals cannot be ignored as they anticipate stronger trends ahead.
